What is Skaffe.com and what is its mission? Skaffe.com is a virtual community made up of people from all over the world brought together by common goals: to build and maintain a directory of the highest quality and give each and every member a voice in its growth and operation.
Together we are working to make Skaffe.com known, not only for its dedication to the highest quality, but also for the value and importance placed on each and every individual member in our growing community of editors and reviewers. We are striving for a directory of excellence--in line with public standards of taste and decency--a safe environment for families.
What would I do if I join and become an editor? By joining Skaffe.com, you become a member of the Skaffe.com online community. Each member is an editor -- one who explains, organizes and exhibits a particular part, or parts, of the directory for others to use. You would be charged with the responsibility to add and categorize sites, edit site titles and description listings, and rate sites within the directory.
How much time is required? The amount of time you devote to Skaffe.com is up to you. As pointed out above, we are all volunteers helping to organize information on the Internet and make the World Wide Web a better place. Each member does what they can, when they can. Some people edit every day, while others edit every month--but each and every editor is important!
How do I become an editor? Find the topic in the directory that most interests you and which you will enjoy organizing and editing. At the bottom of each category page you will see a link entitled, "Apply to Edit this Category." After clicking the link, you will be directed to a page which explains the Skaffe.com Code of Conduct.
Once you have read and accepted these, you will begin the actual application process. The guidelines for site submissions will be provided. Review the guidelines completely, as well as any associated materials. It is important that you accept these and complete the application using these guidelines. Variance from the guidelines may cause your application to be rejected by the Voting Board which is made up of five members of the community.
We maintain high standards for both our submissions and team members. Show pride in your work by following the guidelines as closely and completely as possible. Once your application is approved, you will receive a welcome letter from Team Support and the community.
